What Is Special About A Wavestone?

Who invented the WaveStone?

The inventor of the WaveStone (owner of WaveStone Therapies Ltd) is Adrian Jenkinson.
A qualified paramedic, and both a national league field hockey and ice hockey player (where Adrian also provided game day medical cover) led to him into sports and massage therapy.
Working on the front line of the ambulance service and playing sport at a national level meant that he was witnessing and assessing injuries daily. He decided to become involved in recovery/rehabilitation and he has since built up a wealth of experience from years of practice as a Sports Therapist

How does a WaveStone work?

Adrian set out to create an ergonomically shaped tool that would aid therapists in their massage and bring relief and healing to their clients. He scoured the globe to find a natural stone that would retain both heat and cold, experimenting with many different materials and developing the design of a treatment tool that could follow all the contours of the body’s muscles.
When in China in his capacity as a sports therapist, his host introduced him to a local stonemason who had the raw materials, skills and understanding to help with the project. He produced various prototypes that Adrian brought back to the UK to fine tune, safety test and trial with clients.
The result was a hand-crafted massage tool made of White Jade – the WaveStone.

What is a WaveStone made from?

It is hand crafted from White Jade, also known as Nephrite. Jade has been used by the Chinese for over 2000 years to heal and give pain relief. It contains more than 30 trace elements that are helpful to the human body including selenium, zinc, nickel, copper, cobalt, the two main elements being calcium and magnesium. It is understood that the cells in the human body resonate from the wave movement emitted by the Jade stone, so promoting blood circulation, strengthening of the metabolism and elimination of toxins.
In addition, Jade is known as a natural transmitter of far infrared rays in the same wavelength as the human body, and it is known to produce negative ions which encourage cell metabolism.
